The Wildlife Clubs of Kenya (WCK) is an environmental organization which educates Kenyan youth about wildlife and conservation. With the assistance of an outside evaluation advisor, the WCK conducted a participatory evaluation, in which teachers and WCK staff worked together to identify and investigate key evaluation questions. Evaluation questions included:
- What are the most and least effective WCK programs?
- What constraints are faced by WCK?
- What benefits does WCK provide to students?
- What recommendations are there for improving WCK?
Using a participatory evaluation approach, the WCK adopted a qualitative approach to investigate their evaluation questions. Data collection methods included interviews and questionnaires. The results were used to help WCK improve communication between WCK offices and local clubs.
