Making a difference in nature: an evaluation of Hidden Villa Environmental Education Program: 2003-2004
| Summary | The Hidden Villa Environmental Education Program (HVEEP) works with 2nd – 6th graders who visit the Hidden Villa farm and wilderness for a one or two day field trip. The Hidden Villa evaluation was designed to determine how the program’s goals align with visiting classroom teachers’ goals. The internal evaluator also examined how teachers integrate the field trip experience into classroom activities and ways that Hidden Villa can better support classroom teachers in doing so. Data collection methods included interviews, focus groups, questionnaires, observations and other documents. Overall, this evaluation process was used to help Hidden Villa implement their programs as intended. |
