MEERA uses icons to point out information or examples that are particularly important or useful.  The list below identifies the icons you will find throughout MEERA and explains what these icons represent.

Icons

• Links to external resources that will take you away from the MEERA site are indicated by a globe immediately before the link.
  
  
  
  
• Throughout the site, resources are frequently designated as beginner, intermediate, and/or advanced.  These designations indicate the approximate skill level that each resource targets, and should help you in selecting the most appropriate ones.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Tips are identified by a lightbulb icon and are relevant to the section in which they appear.  Tips seek to convey information that might be overlooked and is likely to be particularly helpful.
  
  
  
  
  
• Pitfalls are identify by a caution sign.  Pitfalls identify possible evaluation “downfalls” and like tips are relevant to the section in which they appear.
  
  
  
  
  
• The Wanted image appears when MEERA is seeking information, resources, or feedback to improve the site.  We hope you will consider providing us with your input when you see this symbol. 
  
  
  
  
• The Warning symbol will let you know about significant mistakes to avoid.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• The Unique Resource icon, a pot of gold, is used to point out particularly valuable evaluation resources.
